As the holidays settled down, the girls and I began to sort
through the enormity of stuff we took out of mom's house.
Trinkets, doo-dads and "table favors" from banquets were
among many of the items we have to scour through. 83
years of collectibles, hand-me-downs and yes - PHOTOS.
This page - as well as others I can create, if needed - will be
where these Photos can be viewed.
Next came Dad and his brother in the service, dad's pic, Uncle Julius' Picture, and then 3 photos of Dad, and Rhodes High School
Football. (Look for number 10 in the team shot). Finally the last one is dad relaxing in the yard in 1968 or 1969.
As we went through the very small, first sampling of pictures,
one stood out above ALL the others. This dog at the left was
destined to be a star of the internet - some 60-70 years after he
posed.
This single picture cracked us all up!
Below are photos, some color, most B&W.
Chippewa and a few family photos.
The cottage was a place where we had 3 generations of family members, their friends, etc - usually at all times.
The first line of pictures deals with Chippewa.
Below is O-papa (My maternal Grandmother's father. He was a tool smith from the old country who relocated to America in the early
1900's. The kids in the cage are Linda and one of our cousins - most likely at Memphis Kiddie Park. The color pic below is from
1978. We were visiting our family friends the Loth's in Youngstown.
